What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy, also known as Osteopathic Medicine was founded by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, the father of Osteopathic medicine. He believed that the comprehensive care of a person had to consider all aspects of that person’s body, mind, and spirit.

Osteopathy is a drug-less, non-invasive system of medical practice based on a theory that diseases are chiefly due to loss of structural integrity which can be restored by manipulation of tissues supplemented by therapeutic measures. An osteopathic diagnosis and treatment aim at reestablishing body’s self-healing and self-regulatory powers.
